Samuels leads Cats to second victory

GoPowercat.com After watching his team be out-rebounded by a smaller opponent in the season opener, Frank Martin stressed that facet of the game to his team in a not so polite manner. At least on the surface, the approach appeared to have worked as Kansas State won the battle of the boards in its 82-50 win over Western Illinois behind Jamar Samuels' 19 points. Never one to get complacent, the third-year head coach is of the opinion there are plenty of holes in the dike, however, and pointed out that many of them, including the one related to rebounding, showed up on Sunday.
