It's only been three days since Kansas State's wild ride through a challenging 2012 season crashed unexpectedly just as the Wildcats were rounding the final turn to head for home. That final turn, also known as Waco, Texas, proved to be the location where the Wildcats' national championship hopes suffered a near-fatal wreck in the form of an embarrassing 52-24 defeat to the Baylor Bears.
