In the 18-game round robin conference schedule, the second meeting between two Big 12 teams is generally tougher. The coaches know what works against a particular system and the players have a better understanding of certain player's tendencies as well as an overall feel for the game. That doesn't mean the outcome will be different, but the teams are, at the very least, familiar with one another.
