Wildcats take first step in tourney

GoPowercat.com KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas State Wildcats came to the Big 12 Tournament with a purpose: Win three games. And step one was obvious. K-State needed to win its first game. The 11th-ranked Wildcats had to first get past Texas on Thursday night to make that tourney title dream come true, but winning in the quarterfinals has been a task that has eluded the Wildcats the last two years.
