Nissley impressed by what he saw at UCF

Florida will always be UCF's No. 1 recruiting focus, but the Golden Knights do spend a lot of time recruiting Georgia. Last year UCF signed four players from the state and they've already added one commitment for 2007. Adam Nissley, a tight end from South Forsyth High School in Cumming, pledged to the Knights in June.

Nissley was actually the second of UCF's seven current commitments.

"I went down there and saw all the new facilities and met all the coaches," Nissley said. "They all impressed me. They have a bright future and I want to be a part of that."

Like UCF's other commitments, Nissley attended UCF's recruiting event for prospects on June 4.

"After the junior day was over they talked to me and offered me," Nissley said. "About three weeks later I said yeah I'll take it. I wanted to go ahead and get that pressure over with before my senior season. I didn't want to worry about the colleges I want to go to and the scouts up in the stands. They just really impressed me with all their new facilities and their brand new coaches. I really like Coach O'Leary. I really like the way he coaches. Their whole situation just impressed me."
