Tourney or bust

RedStormReport.com Last season was a new experience for senior Lamont Hamilton. The Red Storm big men took on the role of being "the man". His role became even bigger when guard Daryll Hill went down after 16 games. But some how, Hamilton weathered the storm in tune to 12.6 points and 7.6 rebounds a game.
"When Daryll went out with the injury I knew more would be asked of me," says the 6-foot-10 Hamilton. "I just wanted to get better with each game that went by." He would lead the Red Storm to a 12-15 record. The Red Storm best record in three seasons.
Get better is something Hamilton has done ever since he stepped on the Jamaica campus three years ago. His production on the floor has increased every year with him adding another facet to his game.
"It's been a long four years here," says Hamilton. "But as you get older your confidence grows and you get better."
Hamilton finished last season like this, 19 points against Rutgers, 15 points against DePaul, 19 against Seton Hall, 15 against Villanova and 14 against Rutgers. Hamilton did the best he could to keep the Red Storm in the midst of a Big East Tournament berth, but fell short in the win and get in game against Rutgers last March.
