Bruins Struggle In Win

BruinSportsReport.com A spectacular second half defensive effort by the second ranked Bruin basketball team was enough to take down conference cellar dweller Arizona State as UCLA improved to 5-1 in the league with a pedestrian 60-50 victory.
ASU (6-12, 0-7) scored just 13 points after intermission; about the pace which the Bruins were on in the opening stanza as they scored just six as a team in the opening 9:10 of the contest. UCLA began the game shooting 2-for-12 from the floor and fell behind 17-6 before rattling off an 18-9 run. The Sun Devils scored only two points over the first ten minutes of the second half.
