September 4, 2011Skylar Spencer had narrowed his list down to two, but after visiting San Diego State this weekend, the list became one.
Spencer didn't even need to see Washington. He had seen enough out of SDSU on his two-day visit and decided to end his recruiting process and commit to the Aztecs on Sunday.
"SDSU had everything I wanted," Spencer said. "I felt my mind was officially made up."
Spencer is a 6-foot-8, 210-pound power forward who is ranked No. 124 in the nation. He's the first Rivals150 player since Kawhi Leonard to pledge to the Aztecs right out of high school and he's also Tony Bland's first high school commitment since he took over the job earlier this summer.
"I enjoyed (my visit) and I really like the team, they're real cool," Spencer said. "It was a fun experience."
Spencer was SDSU's No. 1 big man prospect, and landing him pads the Aztecs' 2012 recruiting class which consists of transfers Dwayne Polee and J.J. O'Brien in addition to three-star forward Matt Shrigley.
Spencer said he will not take the official visit he had planned to Washington now and will sign with the Aztecs in November.
