Seven nationally-televised games, including a pair of primetime contests on ESPN, highlight Kansas State's 16-game Big 12 schedule released by league officials on Wednesday.

The seven national television contests includes the school's 11th appearance on Big Monday in a home game against Texas on Monday, Jan. 18 as well as a clash with Kansas on Saturday, Jan. 30 on ESPN. The package also includes three appearances on ESPN2 and two more on ESPNU. In the past four seasons, the Wildcats have made 37 national appearances on ABC Sports, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or Fox Sports Net compared to just five the previous six years combined. In all, 14 of the 16 conference games will be available on the ESPN family of networks or the Big 12 Network.

There could be more national television opportunities in the non-conference schedule with the O'Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tipoff and games with Washington State, Xavier, UNLV and Alabama.

In addition to the national telecasts, K-State will have seven regular season games broadcast as a part of the Big 12 Conference Television network, beginning with the road game with Colorado on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 3 p.m. The network will also televise home games against Oklahoma State on Jan. 23 (12:30 p.m.), Colorado on Feb. 13 (5 p.m.), Iowa State on March 6 (5 p.m.) and road tilts at Nebraska on Feb. 2 (7 p.m.), Texas Tech on Feb. 23 (7 p.m.) and Kansas on March 3 (7 p.m.).

K-State tips off Big 12 play before a national audience on ESPN2 on the road against Missouri Jan. 9. It will mark the first conference opener against the Tigers since 1998 and the first in Columbia since 1994. Overall, the squads have met nine other times in league openers since 1914, including seven times in Columbia. The Wildcats will open Big 12 play at home against Texas A&M on Jan. 12, also on ESPN2. The game with the Aggies will be one of nine at home against teams that advanced to the postseason in 2008-09, including seven that went to the NCAA Tournament.

The times for the remaining home games and the FSN Kansas City television schedule will be released at a later date.

K-State returns four starters and eight lettermen from a squad that produced a 22-12 overall record and finished in a tie for fourth place in the Big 12 in 2008-09. The Wildcats advanced to the second round of the NIT, where they lost to top-seeded San Diego State. In addition, the team will welcome a five-man recruiting class that has been judged to be amongst the top 20 in the nation by several outlets.

Season tickets for Kansas State's entire 17-game home schedule are currently on sale. Season ticket packages start at $320 for bench seating, while Cat Cushion and chairback seating is priced at $350 and $390, respectively. Recent graduates may take advantage of the Young Alumni ticket package, which is available for $160 for those who received their undergraduate degree since December 2004.

The men's basketball season ticket will not include the Sprint Center game against IUPUI on Nov. 28. However, season ticket holders may purchase a lower-level ticket for the contest for $25.

There is a special Early Bird incentive for all season ticket renewals with a handling discount of $10 as well as 20 priority points if payment is made in full by Friday, August 7.
