Edwards going full speed ahead
LeRoi Edwards has hit the recruiting radar full speed. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound offensive and defensive lineman has been invited to numerous junior days. Edwards has been busy with wrestling season but gave us a few minutes of his time.
"I am going to UW's junior day this weekend. Washington is one of my top choices right now. A lot of my family has graduated from the UW and it would be fun to play at home," said Edwards.
Edwards is wrapping up his wrestling season at Kentridge High School. While Edwards admits he is a bit behind with his football workouts because of wrestling, he let us know that wrestling has made him a better athlete. "Wrestling prepares mentally and physically for football season. It's an aggressive sport and you have to be in top shape. It has improved my endurance and strength," said Edwards.
