Berens has Huskies among leaders

Junior quarterback Bryan Berens from Brophy Prep in Arizona, may not have any official offers yet, but that does not mean that he has not caught several team's interest.

In the past month, Berens has taken two unofficial trips - to Stanford on Feb. 17 and Colorado Feb. 22 - and attended Nebraska's junior day Feb. 23.

"Stanford, Colorado, and Nebraska were all very enjoyable and insightful trips," he said. But one trip did not appeal to him as much. "UCLA was not as good. I didn't enjoy it, and I don't really like the Los Angeles area."

The disappointing trip has led Berens to drop UCLA out of his top schools. He also currently listed the top four as Washington, Stanford, Colorado and Nebraska in no particular order. Just under those teams is Louisville, while Arizona, Oregon State and Michigan round out his preferences.

"I'm still very interested in all of these schools," he said. "But for now those four are on top."
