Air Force lands two-star defensive tackle

Guyton (Ga.) South Effingham defensive tackle Cody Miller has ended his recruitment. His father Billy Miller confirmed that the 6-foot-1 270-pound lineman has committed to the Air Force Academy over offers from Army and Furman along with interest from Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech and Middle Tennessee State.

"Friday night Cody committed to Air Force," Cody's father said over email. "[Cody's recruiting coach Clay Hendrix] said they have Cody as their number one defensive lineman and that they expect some big things out of Cody."

Miller had a stellar senior season in which he accumulated 94 tackles from his defensive tackle position and moonlighted at fullback in goalline and short yardage situations.

"Cody is really excited about Air Force and the coaching staff at Air Force and the overall success of the program this year," Billy Miller said.

Miller plans to visit Air Force officially in January.
