Trice's decision confirmed on first trip to Norman

Most anyone would tell you that the biggest decision a high school student will make in their young life is where to attend college. So when a student-athlete like Marcus Trice makes his decision without seeing his future home it's either a hurried decision or was always an inevitable conclusion. Last weekend the 5-foot-8, 167-pound cornerback from Mesquite, Texas got to find out which one it was.

"Everything is like perfect, I saw the scrimmage or whatever, I love how the coaches get after it," Trice said. "I need a coach that is going to stay on me and keep me disciplined.

"Also, I love the facilities. I think they have some of the top facilities and they are already remodeling everything, I mean how much better can it get?

"The players are so cool, I know Joseph Ibiloye and he was telling me they don't even do freshman hazing, there is no point in doing that, we're all adults."

Trice, a guy who has already befriended future teammate Jaydan Bird as well as Sooner quarterback target Drew Allen, is all about relationships. He prides himself on being a good listener and says it's a big part of his popularity amongst his peers.
