West Point ATH waiting on offers
Mississippi State has already received one commitment from in 2010 from a West Point defensive back.
Michael Carr gave his pledge to the Bulldogs but the Green Wave will have another top cornerback playing opposite him next season.
With many opposing offenses steering clear of Carr's side of the field, Jeremy Cannon could be the benefactor if that happens. Cannon possesses 4.4 speed and is the ideal size for a cornerback at 5-foot-10, 185-pounds.
But as talented as Cannon is, few colleges have yet to take notice.
"Recruiting is still moving slow," Cannon said. "I'm not really hearing from anybody right now. I'm getting a couple of letters from North Carolina."
Cannon visited the Mississippi State campus several times during the fall attending both practices and games in Starkville. He came away impressed with what he saw.
"I like how they work," Cannon said. "I like the school and the campus. I really liked their dorms."
When MSU head coach Dan Mullen went to West Point back in December he made it a point to talk to Cannon on visit.
