Brown, Cantele honored by Big 12

Kansas State grabbed two of the three Big 12 Player of the Week honors following its win over No. 15 Baylor on Saturday as Arthur Brown was named defensive player of the week and Anthony Cantele nabbed special teams player of the week accolades. Brown's play on defense also garnered the junior Big 12 Player of the Week honors from Rivals.com
Brown came up big in the Wildcats' 36-35 comeback win over Baylor. Down 35-33, Brown forced Robert Griffin III into his first interception of the season, which set up K-State's game-winning field goal. Brown then sacked Griffin on first down and also collected another stop on third down during the Bears' final drive of the game to seal the win. For the game, Brown recorded eight tackles and 1.5 sacks, while his 33 tackles on the season ranks fourth in the Big 12.

Cantele drilled a career-best three field goals, including the game-winner with 3:10 left in the fourth quarter, to lead the Cats to a win over No. 15 Baylor on
Saturday. Cantele hit on field goals of 28 and 37 yards to give the Wildcats a 13-7 lead in the first quarter. Following Robert Griffin's first interception of the season, the Wildcats moved the ball to the Baylor 15-yard line to set up Cantele's game-winner. On the season, Cantele has connected on 7-of-10 field goals and ranks third in the Big 12 in field goals made.
