Kansas State added a commitment in the 2018 class earlier on Sunday when Butler Community College defensive tackle Tyquilo Moore took to Twitter to announce his verbal pledge to the Wildcats.

Moore has yet to be ranked by Rivals but is a 6-foot-4, 300-pound junior college interior lineman that has three years of eligibility remaining to play three seasons. The native from South Carolina received the offer while on campus over the weekend in Manhattan for his official visit.

Although it did not leak until Sunday afternoon, Moore actually was informed about the offer on Saturday.

“It was (Saturday) when it was mentioned,” he told K-StateOnline. “Taylor (Braet) mentioned it. I was excited. I think he knew it, too.”

The addition of Moore gives the Wildcats three defensive tackles in the class – and adds to high school seniors Jaylen Pickle of Kansas and Derick Newton of Georgia. However, he’ll have a leg up because of his size and that he has already played a year of junior college football at one of the more prestigious programs around.

For now, he’s basking in the excitement of making it to the Big 12.

“It’s such a blessing,” Moore said. “It was just a great feeling. It just felt like I was in Columbia, South Carolina, which is where I am from. I felt comfortable around the players and the coaches. My father absolutely loved every moment.”

Moore also adds even more of a junior college environment to Kansas State, particular Butler Community College. The Wildcats recruit the heck out of the notorious powerhouse program and he’s the second addition from El Dorado, in addition to fullback Luke Sowa. Byron Pringle was also a Butler C.C. product but is now gone, but still around is former Grizzly defensive back Jahron McPherson.

Moore spent a great amount of time around the Butler C.C. contingent but he also shared company during his visit with KSU linebacker target Jayden McDonald. And now, he's doing his part to attract the three-star from Georgia.

“He looked like he was really enjoying himself,” Moore said. “I know he loves it at Kansas State. Hopefully we can get him in.”
