Getting to Know... Jaquay Lane

KSO is going to help you get to know all of the members of the 2018 Kansas State recruiting class who were not present for spring football.

We continue this series with Georgia wideout Jaquay Lane.

1. When do you plan to get to Manhattan?

June 3.

2. What’s your height and weight right this moment?

I'm up to 5-foot-10 and 171 pounds.

3. What fellow recruits/current players are you talking most with?

All of us commits talk every day because we are in a group chat. The current players I talk to the most are my cousin Duke Shelley and also Isaiah Zuber.

4. What have you been working on since your season ended?

Getting out of my breaks faster and finding the ball quicker.

5. What would you need to get better at to play early?

Learning the playbook and the offensive scheme.

6. What are your goals for your first season?

First team All-Big 12 as a receiver, and maybe as a returner if given the chance.

7. Tell me something people think is unique about you?

I love the game of football and I'm very passionate about it. Without football, my life would be totally different.

8. What school finished second in your recruitment?

UCF.

9. What assistant are you the closest with?

The offensive coordinator, Coach (Andre) Coleman.

10. What advice would you give to other recruits after going through the process?

Enjoy the process. But when it's time to make your final decision, make sure that the school you choose gives you the best interest in being a student-athlete.
