Rivals150 member Dajuan Gordon commits to K-State

Kansas State's newest commit is Chicago guard Dajuan Gordon.

Kansas State adds its second commit of the class, as Chicago guard Dajuan Gordon gave his verbal pledge to the Wildcats. Bruce Weber and company hosted him on an official visit from Thursday through Saturday.

The 6-foot-3 combo guard picked K-State over DePaul, Ole Miss, Nebraska, SMU, Tulsa, UAB and Xavier. He’s a Rivals150 prospect for the Class of 2019 and the first Top 150 commit for Bruce Weber in Manhattan since Xavier Sneed (though Shaun Neal-Williams held that honor for a brief point in time).

Gordon was often thought as an SMU lean throughout his process. They were the overwhelming favorite for his services before K-State became involved. He was originally slated to visit Ole Miss the weekend of Sept. 22 but canceled that trip. The decision to do that, in addition with his insistence to still visit Manhattan, caused us to feel more optimistic about Kansas State’s chances.

Kansas State assistant Brad Korn was the lead recruiter for Gordon.

He joins Montavious Murphy in the Kansas State class. Stay tuned for more on the newest Wildcat and the other visitors from the weekend – Damerius Wash and Antonio Gordon.
