K-State offers Cherry, gets immediate commitment

Kansas State has landed its 12th commitment of the cycle in offensive tackle Shane Cherry of Grandview (Mo.). He joins an offensive line class that also consists of Kaitori Leveston and Christian Duffie of Texas.

Cherry is unranked by Rivals but has been a top target for Kansas State for quite some time. The Wildcats waited to offer the 6-foot-5, 300-pound lineman until he was on campus this weekend for an official visit. It did not take long for the Missouri senior to pull the trigger.

He’s made it no secret that he has wanted to go to school in Manhattan all along, and today that came to fruition. Cherry committed to head coach Bill Snyder and offensive line coach Charlie Dickey on the spot. He’s also a teammate of Cartez Crook-Jones, which is relevant as the Wildcats try to flip the Kansas defensive end pledge.
