Kansas State is going dancing - again.

Bruce Weber's Wildcats earned their second straight trip the the NCAA Tournament, as announced Sunday night on TBS.

The Wildcats will be the No. 9 seed in the South Region in Charlotte, facing No. 8 Creighton (21-11) on Friday in the round of 64. If K-State were to advance, they would likely face No. 1 Virginia seed for the right to move to the Sweet 16.

Creighton features star guard Marcus Foster, a transfer from K-State.

Creighton finished third in the Big East Conference, claiming a recent win over No. 3 Villanova as one of its top accomplishments.

The Bluejays have lost two straight entering the tournament, four of their last six games and six of their last 10, after initially starting 17-5.

Foster leads Creighton in scoring at 20.3 points per game, with Khyri Thomas second at 15.3 points per game. Both Foster and Thomas shoot better than 40 percent from three-point range. The Bluejays third leading scorer is Martin Krampelj at 11.9 points a game, and he is their leading rebounder at 8.1 boards a contest.

It is the fourth time in Weber's six seasons K-State has made the NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats went in both of Weber's first two seasons before missing in back-to-back seasons in the middle of his stint in Manhattan. K-State returned to the tournament last season but was chosen as a First Four participant, winning an opening-round game against Wake Forest before falling to Cincinnati in the round of 64.

K-State earned the bid after finishing 22-11 (including a 10-8 regular season Big 12 record) and going 1-1 in the Big 12 Tournament this past week in Kansas City.

The Wildcats won a quarterfinal matchup 66-64 in overtime against fellow NCAA Tournament participant TCU before falling to eventual tournament champion and No. 1 seed Kansas without the services of Dean Wade or Barry Brown - the Wildcats' two All-Big 12 selections.
