Beasley coming to Bramlage Coliseum

Notre Dame Prep (Fitchburg, Mass.) and The Pendleton School at IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), two of the nation's elite prep schools, will match-up in the inaugural All-American Shootout at Kansas State's Bramlage Coliseum on Sunday, February 25, 2007.
Notre Dame Prep (14-1), the defending prep school national champion, is led by Kansas State signee Michael Beasley (22 points per game, 14 rebounds per game), who many consider to be the top-rated high school prospect in the nation. The talented and highly-touted forward led perennial powerhouse Oak Hill Academy to 40 wins and a national championship last season and will look to bring another national title to Notre Dame Prep in 2007.

At 6-foot-9 and 230 pounds, Beasley leads a Kansas State recruiting class that is ranked No.1 in the country by most college basketball recruiting analysts.
IMG Academy (16-2), which has produced more than 30 NBA players and numerous college All-Americans, has a talented team led by Jared Swopshire and Ken Kadji.
Swopshire, a 6-foot-7 forward, is averaging 20 points and nine rebounds per game. Kadji, a 6-foot-10 center, is averaging 18 points and 12 rebounds per contest. Both Swopshire and Kadji top the recruiting lists of many Division I programs across the country.
"We continue to try and play the best schools in the country each season and we are excited to play the defending national champion," IMG coach Tony Tucker said. "The All-American Shootout will feature some outstanding players, and I am confident it will help us develop as a team, and be another opportunity for our players to compete at the highest level of prep basketball."
