In a bit of a surprise, Reed played in K-State's 35-17 victory in the Cactus Bowl last week against UCLA.

At www.nfldraftscout.com, the 5-foot-9, 188-pound Reed is projected as a fourth-round selection.

He had four interceptions this season for the Wildcats. He also scored a pair of touchdowns on returns - one punt, one kickoff - while averaging 34.2 yards per kickoff return and 14.2 per punt return.

Reed, who hails from Bakersfield, Calif., earned numerous All-America accolades this year - he was named to the Football Writers Association of America's second team as a kick returner and the Associated Press's third team as an all-purpose player. He was also named to Walter Camp's second team.
