Last year it was John Holcombe.

This time around, it's Chris Herron.

Two years, two Houston high-school signal callers head to Kansas State.

Herron, who's close with Holcombe, made it official today with his commitment to the Wildcats.

The 6-foot-1, 194-pound Herron grabbed offers at points through the recruiting process from Nebraska, TCU, Baylor, Houston, Kansas and Indiana - among others - before eventually deciding on K-State.

A true dual-threat quarterback, the three-star rated Herron visited Manhattan the weekend of June 15th, and that trip - along with what else he had heard from the K-State program - was enough for him to commit to Bill Snyder's bunch.

Stay tuned to KSO for much, much more on Herron, including a full evaluation and how he fits in to the 2019 recruiting class.
