It's time to get to know some new Wildcats! Over the rest of the month the KSO staff will be bringing you brief Q&A's with the incoming freshman yet to arrive on campus.
We kick it off with offensive line signee Trevor Stange.
Q: When do you plan to get to Manhattan?
A: I drive up June 6th, move in the 7th.
Q: What is your height and weight?
A: Like 6-3, 280 pounds
Q: Who are the fellow recruits/commits you speak with the most?
A: I’m pretty good friends with Cooper Beebe and Konner Fox. I also talk to Sam Shields a bit.
Q: What have you been working on since your season ended?
A: Main thing is size. I know I’m going to play interior, so I wanted to get my weight up.
Q: What is the No. 1 thing about K-State that won you over?
A: K-State has been a part of my life since I was born. I was raised a Cat, and when I got the opportunity it was just something I couldn’t risk to lose
Q: What are your goals for your first season at Kansas State?
A: My goal is to make travel squad and get my four games in to keep my redshirt.
Q: What is something that people would think is unique about you?
A: I’m a second generation Cat, and I didn’t need a fancy facility or nice uniforms to win me over; I came here for the love of the school.
Q: What school finished second in your recruitment?
A: Texas Tech
Q: Which current assistant coach are you closest with?
A: I’m only close with three staff members right now, and that’s Taylor Braet, Drew Liddle, and coach (Conor) Riley
Q: What advice would you give to younger recruits now that you have gone through it?
A: Do your best to figure out what’s real and what’s not. There’s a lot of fake love in recruiting, and if you keep waiting cause you think something might happen you could lose out on the right opportunity for you.
