Kansas State has their second commitment of the class as Coppell (Texas) offensive lineman Trevor Stange has announced his commitment to Bill Snyder and the Wildcats today.

Trevor’s father Russ played for K-State in the late 1980’s and played his high school football in California.

As we indicated in Off the Record some time ago, Stange showed up to the Rivals camp the weekend of March 24 wearing Wildcat gear. That was one of the hints that his recruitment was headed in the right direction for assistant Charlie Dickey, who has recruited him for quite a while.

Stange is a three-star prospect that also held offers from Minnesota, Syracuse and Texas Tech. He took a trip to Lubbock to check out head coach Kliff Kingsbury and the Red Raiders, who always seemed like the biggest challenger to K-State in this recruitment.

A visit to Manhattan on Easter weekend helped give Stange some of the information he needed, and now Stange knows he wants Kansas State to be his his next home.
