OL Andrew Leingang commits to K-State

Kansas State has won one of their toughest recruiting battles thus far. Offensive lineman Andrew Leingang has committed to the Wildcats.

He picked K-State over Stanford, Minnesota and North Dakota State, primarily. He also had additional power five offers from Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon State.

The North Dakota native has visited Manhattan before. He attended a game last fall as a recruiting visitor. That is actually a rarity in this cycle.

While this is will be the year of figuring out which commits are solidly in the fold and which ones are not, there won't be that issue when it comes to Leingang. Being from Bismarck, he's fully understanding of the program, culture and had just about all the information he needed and is quite the fan of Chris Klieman and his regime.

Leingang is the second offensive lineman of the class, joining offensive tackle Austin Weiner of Gardner Edgerton. He is the first interior offensive lineman, essentially replacing the departed Noah Bolticoff of Rose Hill.

K-State landed six offensive linemen in the Class of 2020 - Sam Shields, Hadley Panzer, Carver Willis, Witt Mitchum, Talor Warner and Dawson Delforge. They won't need quite that many in 2021 and are off to a fine start with the additions of Leingang and Weiner.
