Kansas State has landed its second wide receiver of the class as Cartersville (Ga.) target E.J. Turner has made his commitment to the Wildcats. Both wideouts in the class are from Georgia, as fellow pledge Jaquavius Lane attends Grayson High in Loganville (Ga.).

Not only is he the second K-State wideout commitment from the Peach State, but he's the third commit overall from Georgia - the other is Atlanta cornerback E.J. Thomas. Assistant Andre Coleman has opened up shop in the South and has created a pipeline for the ‘Cats.

Turner was once a member of head coach Chris Ash and Rutgers’ class before electing to depart after continuing to hear from K-State, West Virginia, South Carolina and Auburn. The two SEC programs did not offer but the two Big 12 programs did. The Wildcats believing in him early and remaining steady throughout the cycle really made an impact on his choice.

The three-star receiver took his official visit to Manhattan the weekend of December 1. To our knowledge, that was the only official visit he took his entire recruiting process. He was in "The Little Apple" the same weekend as defensive tackle commit Jaylen Pickle and linebacker targets Dayven Coleman and Will Honas.

He’s now the 14th commitment for Kansas State but they do wish to land a few more between now and Signing Day on Wednesday.
