Kansas State has landed the third receiver of the class – a spot that the Wildcats were aggressively pursuing for the past couple of months. They landed receiver Jaquavius Lane of Georgia in August and didn’t land another wideout until E.J. Turner, also of Georgia, committed to the ‘Cats in December.

But that wasn’t enough for Andre Coleman and Kansas State. The program received an official visit from Rice pledge Brendan Harmon of Fort Worth in December. K-State also continued to recruit Louisiana native Gregory Clayton.

However, the winner of the final spot is Malik Knowles of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He committed to Kansas State immediately following his official visit to Manhattan over the weekend. The new two-star pledge was offered by K-State less than a week ago.

He has a slender build at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds but also held a separate FBS offer from Illinois.

Knowles actually is the 21st commitment of the class and the third one of today. The Wildcats also received verbal pledges from junior college linebacker Rahsaan York and in-state athlete Levi Archer.
