BOB BOWLSBY'S ALLEGATIONS

With Oklahoma and Texas looking leaving the Big 12 for the SEC, commissioner Bob Bowlsby dropped a bombshell on the college football world by sending a cease and desist letter to ESPN alleging that the media conglomerate was attempting to sabotage the league.

We now wait to see what evidence he can produce to support the claims.

OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS TO THE SEC

Oklahoma and Texas did indeed petition for SEC membership last week, in which it was responded by the Southeastern Conference with invitations. After votes by each of their board of regents, the invitation was accepted by both of the now former Big 12 members.

Only needing a three-fourths majority vote from the schools within the SEC, the vote to approve membership was an unanimous one. Yes, even Texas A&M obliged to the inclusion of the Sooners and Longhorns.

To keep up with all of the realignment and other future Kansas State football news, KSO's Derek Young has you covered here.

KANAK TO CLEMSON

2022 four-star athlete Jaren Kanak committed to Clemson on Friday night.

After receiving offers from Kansas State, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and many more, the Hays, KS. product announced his decision via Twitter.

NEW OFFERS

2023 offensive tackle Ethan Thomason was extended a scholarship after K-State's final "Under the Lights" camp last Friday.

Thomason currently sits with three other offers after also being extended scholarships by Colorado State, Iowa State and Texas Tech.

2023 St. Louis defensive lineman Tyler Gant was also extended a scholarship after last Friday's "Under the Lights" camp, along with Thomason.

Gant currently has nine total offers with those including Arkansas, Arkansas State, Eastern Michigan, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

HOOP SCOOP

KSO's Grant Flanders provided a look at a few different options that Kansas State is chasing on the recruiting trail in this week's Hoop Scoop.

Along with recruits, Flando discussed how the realignment situation affected the basketball program moving forward.

You can find all of that here.

LATEST ON KANSAS CITY PRODUCT

2022 wide receiver prospect Mudia Reuben released his top five schools, and unsurprisingly, K-State was included. They were joined by Kansas, Vanderbilt, Arkansas State and Stanford.

KSO's Derek Young shared a more in-depth look into Reuben's top five decision and revealed his comments about his trip to Manhattan here.

2022 safety commit Tobi Osunsanmi visited Kansas State once again last Wednesday.

The Wichita linebacker committed to the Wildcats earlier this summer after being offered by Chris Klieman and company after a private workout that was associated with an unofficial visit earlier in June.

He is also 7-on-7 teammates with 2023 targets Dylan Edwards and Avery Johnson. More information on his latest trip to Manhattan can be found here, via KSO's Drew Galloway.

K-State also welcomed 2023 defensive end Jarra Anderson to Manhattan last week.

Anderson's only offer currently is from the Wildcats, as the Katy, Texas native spoke highly of Manhattan and the coaching staff on his visit.

KSO's Drew Galloway wrote a full rundown of Anderson's visit here.

HUBERT AND MOORE INJURIES

Former Kansas State football players Wyatt Hubert and Briley Moore both suffered injuries last week during their NFL training camps.

Hubert, who suffered a torn pectoral, is expected to miss his entire 2021 rookie season with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Moore was carted off the field during the Tennessee Titans' practice with an apparent knee injury. Moore was placed on injured reserve earlier on Sunday.
