Kansas State has added to its offensive line group in the form of massive Butler County Community College product Justin Eichman, a 6-foot-9, 350-pound prospect who originally played high school football at Topeka Hayden.
Eichman took to Twitter today to announce his commitment.
Eichman had received interest from the likes of Arizona, Colorado, West Virginia and Kansas before deciding to commit to K-State. The junior college prospect will have three years to play three for the Wildcats.
There's a belief a number of high major offers would have come Eichman's way if he had played another year at Butler, and the Wildcats believe they pulled off a bit of a coup by getting him in as part of the 2018 class.
As can be seen in our Football Roster and Recruiting Center - Eichman helps both with numbers and scholarship distribution up front for K-State, now providing the lone scholarship sophomore offensive lineman in the program.
Eichman will count as part of the 2018 recruiting class after starting all of last season at right tackle for Butler.
Former K-State offensive linemen and current Butler County offensive line coach Wade Weibert told KSO "(K-State) got a good one in Eichman."
Stay tuned to KSO as we update this story with more on Eichman's announcement and analysis of him as a prospect.
